PHSE/RSE INTENT statement
Our intention is that when children leave Little Horsted CE Primary School, they will do so with the knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to play an active, positive and successful role in today’s diverse society. We want our children to have high aspirations, a belief in themselves and realise that anything is possible if they put their mind to it.
Our PSHE curriculum equips children with relevant and meaningful content, which is supported through a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. With an ever-changing society, we are able to provide our children with a strong understanding of the diverse world around them and support them in playing a positive role in contributing to the school and the wider community. Our Relationships and Sex Education enables our children to learn how to be safe, and to understand and develop healthy relationships, both now and in their future lives. Weaving through the heart of our PSHE teaching, is a commitment to enhancing and promoting our core Christian Values and supporting the children in a safe, nurturing environment.
